Results in Comparing Innovative Placement Heuristics

چکیده
This paper presents new results achieved with ESPRO, a software system for generating VLSI layouts. Its main advantages are minimal hardware requirements and its independence of programming languages, hardware platforms, and fabrication processes. It is thus designed for evaluation of new P&R heuristics in algorithm development and universitary backgrounds.
